Sister Linda and the OLG Knights.
On Sunday, 12/8, we saw the first half of our Coats for Kids Mission come to fruition. Six Brothers joined Sister Linda at the Mission of St. Joan of Arc in Kensington.
It took us about 10 minutes to unload, about 20 minutes to arrange the coats by size, and it took the parishioners 15 minutes to find new homes for 150 coats.
Great day to Ride for Life, support area pregnancy centers, raise important funds, and promote the Culture of Life one mile at a time.
Chris and Kasey Massaro were our local ride organizers and support team. Biking for Babies will raise over $13,000 this weekend! The OLG Knights helped with a generous donation.
It was quite a feast with music playing and a visit from the Kona Ice truck too. Thanks to all our Brother Knights that participated and to Bob and Barb for organizing the event. The smiles on our guests’ faces made it a rewarding day for all.
The Knights from Our Lady of Grace, the brother Knights from councils in District 16, friends, family and some help from Holy Ghost Prep contributed to packing over 53,000 meals for those in need this morning. 90% of the meals will support those in need internationally. The other 10% will help out those in need in Bucks County and Philadelphia.
The OLG Knights were pleased to help and support Father Bernard Ekeagwu as a seminarian and up to his ordination as a priest.
The Golf Outing took place on Friday, May 17 starting at 9:30 AM at Middletown Country Club.
Father DeWitt co-celebrated the 10:00 Sunday Mass with Father Nasta on March 17. He was presented with a $2800 donation for the St Francis Maternity Home from the proceeds of the Blocktoberfest. Many OLG Knights volunteered to provide assistance for the event and two knights were on the Blocktoberfest Committee.
Among other assistance, such as coordinating overnight hosts and providing lunch supplies, Knights John Krakowiak, Chip Duke, Eric Harper, Bob Higman and Father Nasta share a warm dinner and lively conversation with the group of pilgrims.
A group of pilgrims walked from the Bronx to the National Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia. They offered many prayers along the way. More information on modern catholic pilgrims can be found at https://www.moderncatholicpilgrim.com/
